Meet Luna

Moonpool is an app you open once a day. Say how you feel, breathe for a minute, write something down if you want to. Luna reads all of it, and talks to you like someone who was around last week. She'll bring up the thing you were dreading on Tuesday and ask how it went.

What she says comes from what you actually logged, not from a script. You can change how she talks, and what she's called.

Here's what's on my mind…Ask me about my day
Message…
Today before anything is logged: the real moon, a waxing gibbous, over still water
Before you log anything
Today on an aurora night, after a walk and a gratitude: the moon lit in green and pink under a curtain of aurora
An aurora night, after a walk and one good thing

Your day, as a night

The home screen is tonight's sky over water. Until you've done anything, that's the actual moon, in whatever phase it's in. Log something and she wakes up and takes the colour of your day. Swipe back and last night is still there, the way it was.

It has its own music

Every day gets a slow piece of its own, and it keeps playing when you put the phone down. This is forty seconds of one.

Relaxed
Sound on. Headphones help.

Breathe

A minute of breathing with Luna. The phone taps once at each turn, so you can close your eyes. Relaxed, Quick, Deep, Box, 4-7-8, or a pattern you set yourself.

There's a soundscape too, if you turn it on: a low drone, air that breathes with you, a chime at each turn, and now and then a few notes from far away. Press Begin and you'll hear it.

Sessions can count as Mindful Minutes in Apple Health, if you want them to.

No streaks

Each thing you do has a pace. Breathing most days, a walk a few times a week, one good thing every day. You pick from a short list once, and the app counts weeks, not days. Miss a Tuesday and the week is still fine.

Mood and writing don't have a pace at all. Log a mood when you feel one. Write when there's something to say.
